Personalizing Thanksgiving can add a nice touch to your Thanksgiving traditions. I thought it would be nice this year if our family sat at the table with personalized placemats letting them know I am especially thankful for each of them. It was a fun, inexpensive and fairly easy project. Hope you enjoy it and more so, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the ones you love.
I chose my material then ironed Heat and Bond onto the back of 12 x 12 materials in green, gold and patterned leaf. I then took that material and put it into my cutter on a regular mat. I cut all the green graphics on my green material, all the yellow graphics on the gold material and all the remaining black graphics on my patterned leaf material. I used a pressure of 285 and also used a new blade. I got a wonderful cut on my first try. I was very please with the cutters performance and the ease of using the fabric.
I next found a close up photo of the people who would be sharing Thanksgiving with me and printed a photo onto a Canvas Inkjet Fabric Sheet. (The Electric Quilt Company is a favorite brand of mine) then placed it on my place mat behind the other cut outs.
All you need to do now is iron it all into place and you are done. (I added a few buttons and some extra falls leaves onto my mats but you of course can add your own magic touches.
Enjoy this project and happy cutting!
